Annual Report 2023-2024

Mental Health Victoria's 2023-2024 Annual Report showcases MHV’s advocacy for system-wide reform on behalf of Associates. Three and a half years on from the landmark Royal Commission, the report outlines MHV’s contributions to policy, reform-focused events like the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 roadshows, and workforce development courses, sessions and webinars. Looking ahead, MHV is excited to collaborate further to drive meaningful, lasting change in mental health.

Annual Report 2022-2023

Mental Health Victoria’s 2022-2023 Annual Report showcases a year of impactful work in mental health reform across Victoria. With a strong commitment to the Royal Commission’s recommendations, MHV has focused on advocacy, workforce development, and sector partnerships, tackling pressing challenges like workforce shortages and service sustainability. Key achievements include the Our Reform conference and the Human Rights Roadmap launch, promoting human rights within mental health systems. Guided by the voices of those with lived experiences, MHV continues its mission to strengthen services, drive sustainable change, and build a more inclusive and mentally healthy Victoria.

Annual Report 2021-2022

Mental Health Victoria’s 2021-2022 Annual Report marks significant milestones in the 10-year journey to reform Victoria’s mental health system. This year, MHV led key advocacy efforts, notably partnering on the Human Rights Roadmap with the Castan Centre and securing vital funding for community mental health pop-up clinics. The organization has worked closely with government bodies to address workforce challenges, support lived experience initiatives, and improve service access. The report details these accomplishments, showcasing MHV’s commitment to a future where mental health support is accessible, rights-based, and responsive to the needs of all Victorians.

Mental Health Victoria’s 2020-2021 Annual Report reflects a pivotal year of transformation in Victoria’s mental health landscape. This report highlights MHV’s contributions to policy, workforce development, and system reform, following the historic Royal Commission findings. Notable achievements include establishing the Service Reform Advisory Network and the Lived Experience Advisory Group, providing critical guidance on new community-based mental health models. Amid COVID-19, MHV supported the sector with innovative training programs and advocacy for expanded service access. This report celebrates these milestones, underscoring MHV’s commitment to building a more accessible, effective mental health system for all Victorians.
