Pilot project aims to boost the lived experience workforce

Mental Health Victoria has teamed with the Centre for Mental Health Learning (CMHL), Victorian Mental Illness Awareness Council Inc (VMIAC), Tandem and the Department of Health to launch the Access to Lived Experience Supervision pilot project.

This project will pay for a small number of discipline-specific sessions to eligible Victorian consumer or family/carer lived experience workers in the community managed mental health workforce. It is targeted at people employed in a designated lived experienced role in a community managed mental health service, who would like to enhance their role via external supervision.

The pilot,  funded by the Department and led by CMHL, is an extension of the current project being delivered to clinical services, which is now available to people working in a designated lived experience role within the community managed mental health sector.

During the pilot, a limited number of workers will be able to access up to six one-hour supervision sessions between July and November.

For more information (including eligibility) and to apply, please download the application form. Applications close 6 August or when allocations have been exhausted.
